Jet taffeta and emerald tulle
explode in this inspired and elite design from “Stunning” in Melbourne’s
Toorak Road. Created for another Derby Eve Ball in Melbourne’s
Hilton Hotel, this dress made headlines as the swish of its taffeta
glided through the flower arches for the paparazzi to snap. The
bodice is bejeweled with sequins, baubles and beads of every design
imaginable, while the skirt of ballgown impishly raises to reveal a
sneak peek at the fine emerald tulle beneath. This size 12 dress
was later adapted for the World Wildlife Fund’s 25 years in Australia
celebrations, hosted by Dreamworld and Tiger Island, adding a graceful
criss-cross of emerald ribbon to the back, enabling the wearer to indulge
in that extra cream cake and still do up the dress at any size!! |
