The humid, wet weather
also brings with it nasties such as ticks that can be harmful,
and even fatal, to your pet. See our tick story below for
some handy hints on dealing with tick season.
October
has also been a big month for animal awareness. Animal Action
Day expanded this year into a full weekend over the 2 and
3 October, and the Animal Welfare League‘s annual Open
Day was a fantastic success on Saturday 2 October, despite
the less than inviting weather. The very next day the AWL
hosted the annual Blessing of the Animals.
It’s
been great to see the many ways in which the people of South-East
Queensland show their love and support for animals. If you
know of any important animal awareness or pet events please
let us know by emailing news@pawsandclaws.com.au.
